Iceoplex Ice Hockey

The hockey department at Iceoplex is dedicated to providing hockey programs in the best interests of children. The hockey professionals that will be teaching your child are mature, knowledgeable instructors who have taught hockey for many years and understand the social, physical, and emotional development of children. We offer a small student/teacher ratio so that you know your child is getting the best possible group instruction. The only way to get more attention is through a private lesson. The hockey department is located on the ice level, main office area . We encourage parents to come to the hockey office at any time to discuss your child’s hockey development. Our instructors are also available before and after class to answer questions.

We use the USA Hockey Initiation Program to teach the hockey skills taught in our programs. It is a structured learn to play hockey program designed to introduce children to the game’s skills, such as skating, stickhandling, passing, shooting and basic positioning. Within the program there are four levels of skill progressions. All players are evaluated and placed in the appropriate program level. The program enables participants to become contributing members of the team effort, to develop self confidence and to experience a sense of personal achievement. These goals are achieved in an atmosphere of cooperation and fun.
