U.S. Figure Skating and the Iceoplex have joined to bring you one of the best learn-to-skate programs available. The U.S. Olympic Committee as the official national governing body for ice skating recognizes U.S. Figure Skating.
Objectives of the U.S. Figure Skating "Skate With Us" Programs:
* To provide an enjoyable and safe skating experience
* Teach correct technique of basic elements
* Provide incentive awards
* Promote health and physical fitness* Develop social relationships through group instruction
* Encourage skating as a lifelong sport

Private Lessons
Private lessons can be arranged with any of the Iceoplex staff or ask Skating Directors Stacy Barber and Mary Lou Robinson for a recommendation.
Public Sessions
Schedules are available at the reception desk. Skate rentals are extra at public sessions.
Freestyle Sessions
Freestyle sessions are designed primarily for skaters taking private lessons in a free style, moves in the field, or ice dancing. Punch cards can be purchased for $100.00 (20 half-hour or 10 hour sessions) at the reception desk. Or, you can pay a higher walk-on fee each session.
Second Class Discount
It is recommended that Basic 4 and higher skaters take two group lessons per week. Sign up for two skating school classes per week and receive the second class for half price. The second class must be at the same level as the first and both must be taken during the same semester. This offer is non-transferable and applies only to the enrolled skater. Instructors are available to answer questions concerning class placement. Another option is a group lesson plus a private or semi-private lesson each week.
Second Family Member Discount
A 10% discount is given for enrollment of a second family member during the same semester. Discounts are given at the original registration only and may not be used in conjunction with any other discount or coupon.
Insurance Fee
All students are required to purchase U.S. Figure Skating Insurance for $7.50 that covers the student during classes from September 1, 2006 through August 31, 2007. Both parent and child must purchase the insurance for the Mommy & Me class. Insurance fees must be paid before a skater goes onto the ice. The fee is non-refundable.

Makeup Classes
There is a $13.00 fee for making up missed classes.
Refunds
Requests for refunds will be considered for class credits only. Classes already attended will be deducted from the credit voucher and there are no exceptions. There is no refund of the U.S.F.S.A. Basic Skills insurance fee.
Evaluations
Students will be evaluated at the end of the semester. Students will be tested and given a recommendation for the next semester’s enrollment. Certificates will be awarded to all participants. Skaters who successfully PASS ALL SKILLS in the level enrolled will be given a badge to recognize their accomplishment.
Skate Rental
Skate rental is included in the cost for the semester. We highly recommend figure skates for beginners.
